How do I add an event?
Tap +, type what happened, and pick a date. Sincy suggests an icon as you type — tap one, or choose your own symbol, emoji and colour.
Can I count down to a future date?
Yes. Pick a date in the future and the card counts down (“in 12 days”). On the day itself it shows “Today”, and afterwards it starts counting up.
What does a crossed-out icon mean?
It’s for things you’ve stopped — like “Quit smoking” or “No sugar”. Sincy crosses the icon out automatically when your title starts with words like “quit”, and you can toggle it yourself in the editor.
What does “Reset to today” do?
Swipe on an event and choose Reset to start the count again from today — handy if a streak breaks. Milestones already reached are cleared. This can’t be undone.
My reminders aren’t showing up.
Make sure reminders are on for the event (open it and check Milestone reminders) and that notifications are allowed in Settings › Notifications › Sincy.
Reminders arrive at 9:00 in the morning on milestone days. To stay within iOS limits, Sincy schedules the next few milestones for each event and tops them up each time you open the app.
My events aren’t syncing between devices.
Check that both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account, and that iCloud is enabled for Sincy in Settings › [your name] › iCloud. A working internet connection is needed; changes usually appear within a few moments of opening the app.
If the same event is edited on two devices at once, the most recent change wins.
Does Sincy work without iCloud?
Yes. Everything works offline and on a single device. iCloud only adds syncing between your devices.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the app to remove everything on that device. To remove synced data from iCloud, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Sincy. See the Privacy Policy for details.
